Swinburne Maddison LLP is pleased to announce that we will once again be participating in Amnesty International UK’s ‘Make a Will’ month this March.
We will waive our fee for drawing up a basic Will and instead invite our clients to consider leaving a gift to Amnesty International in their Will.
Amnesty International works to protect men, women and children wherever justice, freedom, truth and dignity are denied. As a global movement of over 7 million people, it is the world’s largest grassroots human rights organisation. The charity investigates and exposes abuses, educates and mobilises the public, and helps transform societies to create a safer, more just world.
Having an up to date and properly written Will is the only way to ensure that your money and possessions will be distributed according to your wishes, and to avoid difficulties for your relatives and friends after your death. By making a Will under the Amnesty scheme, as well as protecting your loved ones’ future, you will be helping to raise money to support the vital work of the charity. In 2017, an estimated £1.65 million was pledged as legacies by people making their Will through the Amnesty scheme.
