Corporate Law: Persons of Significant Control update

27
Apr

In a recent statement Companies House has announced that from 26 June 2017 companies in England & Wales will no longer be able to notify Companies House of changes to their Persons of Significant Control (PSCs) simply through their annual Confirmation Statement.

Instead, from 26 June 2017, changes to your company’s PSCs  will now need to made on forms PSC01 to PSC09 which Companies House are introducing.

Where a company experiences a change in its PSCs, for example this could be through share issues or director appointments, it will have fourteen days to update its Statutory Register, and another fourteen days to file the information to Companies House using the new forms.

There are further changes that apply to Scottish Limited Partnerships and General Scottish Partnerships.

As always, it is vital that businesses are aware and remain compliant with their obligations in respect of legislative changes. Martyn Tennant (mwt@swinburnemaddison.co.uk) and Alex Wilby (aw@swinburnemaddison.co.uk), our Partners within our Corporate Team, are well placed to assist should you have any queries or require any advice in respect of your obligations in respect of PSC registers or any other matter of Company Law.
