Christmas Giving Campaign: Cheer for All!

Following the success of Swinburne Maddison’s 2018 Trussell Trust food bank collection, whereby staff and clients generously donated a range of food items, we are upping-the-anti by extending our programme for 2019.

This year we will be supporting The Trussell Trust – Durham Food Bank and Changing Lives, both of which are local charities. We would love for each and every firm contact or client to join us in our effort if you can.
This is a big undertaking, but we know we can do it!

 

Changing Lives – Reverse Advent Calendar

In the first phase of our activities, our Family team are partnering with Changing Lives for their Reverse Advent Calendar campaign to support families and individuals in need of support over the festive period.

Throughout November we will be collecting a number of items, such as toiletries, toys and gift sets, which will then be donated to those in need throughout December.

Changing Lives are a national charity that supports 17,500 people each year, including those experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, addictions, unemployment & more.

This collection period runs from Monday 4th November – Monday 2nd December 2019.

 

The Trussell Trust – Durham Food Bank Collection

Last year we collected 76kg of donations for our local Durham food bank who prepared individual Christmas care packages made up of essential items, all-important Christmas dinner ingredients and other luxury items such as chocolates and biscuit selections.

For 2019 we are hoping to make a much more substantial contribution with your support. We have provided a list of items (click here) which the food bank is in desperate need of, as well as some other items that we hadn’t considered last year; for example, baby food/milk and festive items like crackers, mince pies etc.

The Trussell Trust works to stop UK hunger and poverty. Their network of foodbanks provides emergency food and support to people in crisis.

This collection period runs from Monday 2nd December – Monday 16th December 2019.

We understand that some of you who wish to donate may not be able to visit our offices in person, or simply haven’t had the time to collect items.  That is why, this year, we have created a Virgin Money Giving page. All donations made online will be paid directly to the charities and will be split 50:50.
