    The role

    Our Dispute Resolution team act on behalf of private clients, private sector businesses, and public sector organisations across a wide range of litigation matters including Commercial, Property, Probate, Family and Employment.

    The successful candidate will be working as part of our wider litigation team but must be comfortable working independently, acting for a variety of clients both individually and nationally. Working on a busy and varied caseload you will be advising and representing a variety of clients within the private and social housing sectors covering all areas of housing litigation including possessions, injunctions, housing disrepair and enforcement.

    Required experience, skills and attributes 

    The successful candidate will have 1-5 year PQE with housing litigation experience. Experience in the social housing sector and/or in dealing with housing disrepair work would be beneficial but is not essential.

    The main attributes we look for are:

    • Exemplary communication skills, both written and spoken
    • Experience acting either on behalf of landlords or tenants within the private or social housing sectors
    • Demonstrating excellent communication and advocacy skills, both written and oral, and being able to present complex legal arguments
    • Being able to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues across different practice areas
    • Having a strong client focus and being able to build and maintain good relationships with a diverse range of clients
    • Being agile and adaptable and being able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Having a commitment to professional development and keeping up to date with changes in the law
    • Experience in conducting advocacy in court
    • Aptitude for working with computers
