Our award-winning Commercial Property team are on the lookout for a new lawyer to join their rapidly-growing team at our office in Aykley Heads, Durham.

Commercial Property Lawyer (5+ years PQE)

The role

We are looking for a full-time Commercial Property Lawyer to join our busy Property team on a permanent basis.

You will be working alongside the Department’s three Partners and four Solicitors. The role will require a good working knowledge of all general commercial property matters – including Landlord & Tenant and Sales & Acquisitions across various sectors – and experience in the following areas is desirable but not essential:-

  • Development work, including: sales and acquisitions of land for development; Options; Promotion Agreements; and Conditional Contracts;
  • Construction
  • Planning Law


There will be an opportunity for development to allow you to work independently, or as part of a team on larger, complex projects. We receive work from a variety of sources including professional contacts and existing clients and aim always to provide exceptional client care. Excellent communication skills and IT skills are therefore also required.

In the present circumstances, this position would require the successful candidate to both work from home as well in the office as and when required by the team.

 

Required experience, skills and attributes

You must have experience running a caseload and be a qualified lawyer with more than 5 years PQE.

  • possessing excellent organisation skills;
  • possessing excellent drafting skills;
  • demonstrating exceptional attention to detail;
  • demonstrating strong communication skills and an ability to work and build relationships with colleagues, clients and the wider professional community.
