Solicitor - Corporate and Commercial Department


Swinburne Maddison LLP, County Durham’s leading law firm, is recruiting for a qualified solicitor in its top tier ranked corporate and commercial department.

The successful applicant will be joining a busy and growing team, working on some of the region’s highest profile cases. The team provides advice to businesses of all sizes including start-ups, established SME enterprises, public limited companies and large public sector organisations. Additionally, the team regularly advises partnerships, unincorporated associations and charitable organisations.

The firm and the team regularly win and are shortlisted at leading regional award events and are place highly in deal activity rankings by volume of deals completed (Experian). The team were nationally recognised for their successes and independently nominated as the North East’s entrant in The Legal 500 Awards 2018 in the corporate and commercial category.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in either or both of corporate and commercial law with corporate experience of mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, corporate governance, solvent restructuring and commercial experience of terms and conditions, commercial agreements, outsourcing, intellectual property and public procurement.

The firm is happy to consider applications from all qualified solicitors from 1 year to 5 year plus PQE. We encourage applications from solicitors with either or both a corporate or commercial law specialism.
