
Brooke Jefferson Solicitor
Private Client
Brooke Jefferson is a Solicitor in Swinburne Maddison’s Private Client team, having qualified in September 2024. She initially joined the firm in 2019 for a summer work experience placement while studying for her LLB (Hons) at Newcastle University. She went on to complete her master’s degree at Sunderland University. In 2021, she later joined the firm as a secretary before progressing to a Paralegal role, then completing her training contract, before qualifying into Private Client in September 2024.
Brooke is passionate about building strong relationships with her clients, ensuring they feel supported and informed throughout the legal process. She takes pride in her approachable and empathetic nature, helping individuals and families navigate often complex and emotional matters. Brooke has experience in the preparation of Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney and Estate and Trust administration.
She has a particular interest in developing her expertise in Court of Protection matters and is committed to supporting vulnerable clients and their families with the management of their property and financial affairs. Brooke also plans to become a full STEP-qualified lawyer to further her knowledge in Private Client law and better serve her clients.

Brooke has gained extensive experience across multiple legal disciplines at Swinburne Maddison. As part of her training contract, she has worked in residential and commercial property, private client, litigation, and corporate law, which has given her a well-rounded understanding of different legal processes. This exposure allows her to approach matters with a comprehensive perspective, considering a variety of legal and practical issues when advising clients.
Since joining the Private Client team, Brooke has built an extensive caseload, assisting clients with estate planning, wills, trusts, and the management of affairs under Deputyship Orders. She has a keen interest in further developing the firm’s Court of Protection offering and aims to become a specialist in this area as part of her long-term career aspirations.
One of Brooke’s key career highlights has been her progression from work experience student to solicitor within Swinburne Maddison. Her development within the firm has allowed her to hone her skills in different practice areas and gain valuable insights into the client journey from multiple perspectives. This, along with her commitment to client care, has been recognised by colleagues, with praise for her attentiveness, strong time management, and ability to support both clients and team members.
