Upcoming Court Fee Increases for Family Matters

From the 8th April 2025, the Ministry of Justice is implementing increases to 171 court and tribunal fees in line with changes to the Consumer Price Index (CPI).

Most fees will rise by 3.2%, while a smaller number will see an increase of 13.5%. For family law matters, the key fee changes are as follows:

  • Child Arrangement Orders: Increasing from £255 to £263.
  • Financial Order Applications (not by consent): Increasing from £303 to £313.
  • Financial Consent Orders: Increasing from £58 to £60.
  • Applications within proceedings: Increasing from £184 to £190.
  • Divorce/Civil Partnership Dissolution: Increasing from £593 to £612.
