Adam McWilliams is a Trainee Solicitor at Swinburne Maddison, currently gaining experience across various departments, including Commercial Property, Dispute Resolution, and Corporate law. Adam studied at Nottingham Trent University where he obtained his Graduate Diploma in Law and achieved his Masters of Law from Leeds Beckett University. He began his legal career at Swinburne Maddison in 2022 as a Paralegal and commenced his Training Contract in April 2024.
Adam is passionate about delivering high-quality legal services with a focus on understanding his clients’ needs and ensuring they are fully supported throughout their legal journey. Set to qualify as a Solicitor in April 2026, Adam aims to build a long-term career centred on trust, client satisfaction, and effective solutions.
Throughout his training contract, Adam has gained diverse experience in a range of legal matters. In his current seat in the Commercial Property team, he has been involved in commercial leases, corporate refinance, and contracts of sale negotiations.
His previous seat in Dispute Resolution saw him assist with housing disrepair, possession proceedings, consumer rights disputes, personal injury, and corporate disputes, always placing a strong emphasis on putting clients at ease.
Adam strives to ensure clients are not only informed about their legal position but are also made aware of possible solutions and outcomes.
Extracurricular:
- Adam participates in the Building My Skills Programme by the Esh Group, delivering presentations to local students about careers in law and helping them with CV writing.
- He is also a member of the Swinburne Maddison Social Committee.
