Alex Siddle Solicitor

Alex Siddle is a Solicitor in the Swinburne Maddison Corporate and Commercial team, having qualified in October 2024. He first joined the firm in 2021 as a Paralegal, progressing to a Trainee Solicitor in 2022. During his training contract, Alex gained diverse experience across multiple departments, including Dispute Resolution, Property, and Private Client, as well as completing a secondment with Believe Housing, one of the firm’s largest clients. Alex holds a Masters in Law from Northumbria University, which provided a strong academic foundation for his legal career.
Skilled in transactional matters such as business sales and acquisitions, Alex is known for his enthusiasm, collaborative approach and commitment to simplifying complex processes for clients. He works closely with owner-managed businesses, helping them navigate the sales and purchase process while ensuring minimal disruption to their operations.
Day-to-day, Alex is involved in coordinating sub-teams, preparing and negotiating documentation, and managing legal due diligence for complex transactions.
With a growing interest in technology transactions, Alex is eager to further develop his expertise in this area, combining his entrepreneurial mindset with his passion for innovation.

Alex has gained extensive experience across multiple legal disciplines during his time at Swinburne Maddison. His career highlights include assisting with high-pressure transactions, such as cross-border deals and pre-budget sales, which demonstrate his ability to deliver under tight deadlines.
Alex’s career highlights include:
- Undertaking a three month secondment with one of the North East’s leading Social Housing providers during his Training Contract.
- Playing a pivotal role in a dual cross-border M&A transaction of a multi-million pound security company.
- Successfully completing various pre-budget M&A transactions, for clients operating with the technology, manufacturing and retail wholesalers, under high-pressure timelines.
- Supporting major deals for owner-managed businesses, demonstrating his ability to deliver exceptional results.
Alex is a member of the Swinburne Maddison CSR Committee.
