Trainees
Charlotte Cassell is a Trainee Solicitor at Swinburne Maddison, currently gaining hands-on experience in a range of legal matters and client liaison, while supporting solicitors and partners across the team. Charlotte is set to rotate through additional departments during her training contract, including Commercial Property, Corporate & Commercial and Dispute Resolution.
Charlotte graduated with a First Class Honours MLaw (Exempting) degree from Northumbria University, demonstrating academic excellence and a strong foundation in legal principles.
Known for her personal and empathetic approach, Charlotte is committed to building strong relationships with clients and ensuring they feel supported throughout their legal journey.
Charlotte’s legal career began with part-time paralegal roles during her studies, where she managed her own files and assisted with a variety of legal tasks.
Before joining Swinburne Maddison, she worked as a paralegal in both Personal Injury, where she drafted court documents, liaised with barristers supported partners across Personal Injury, Housing Disrepair, Employment and Landlord and Tenant disputes.
Charlotte has also gained valuable experience in Family Law matters, including Domestic Abuse, Child Arrangements and Divorce Proceedings – drafted court documents, and attended client meetings.
