The Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Senior Commercial Property Solicitor to join our highly regarded Commercial Property team.  This senior role offers the opportunity to handle high‑quality, complex work while playing a key part in shaping the continued growth of the department.

As a senior member of the team, you will lead on a diverse and stimulating caseload that may include:

  • High‑value acquisitions and disposals
  • Complex commercial leases for landlords and tenants
  • Development projects, including site assembly and planning considerations
  • Property finance and refinancing
  • Corporate support across a wide range of transactions
  • Strategic advice to commercial clients, investors, and lenders
  • Supervision and informal mentoring of junior lawyers and trainees

You will work closely with Partners with the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities such as client relationship management, technical leadership, or business development contributions depending on your interests.

Life at Swinburne Maddison is all about growth, opportunity, and being surrounded by great people. We believe in pushing boundaries, fostering talent, and creating an environment where people thrive. In 2025, we were named Law Firm of the Year at the Northern Law Awards, with four teams ranked Tier One in The Legal 500 and 22 lawyers individually recognised.
