Swinburne Maddison, one of County Durham’s pre-eminent law firms, has made three new appointments as it continues to expand its team following a period of intense activity backed by a raft of new instructions.
Lauren Frisby has joined the real estate team in a newly created position as a commercial property solicitor. Having obtained a distinction in her LPC exams, she brings experience in landlord and tenant matters, gained within the retail, hospitality and professional services sectors.
Sophie Allerton, a corporate and commercial solicitor, augments the firm’s highly active corporate and commercial team. She qualified in 2017 after working in a similar role within a Yorkshire law firm and brings experience of business share and asset acquisitions and disposals, advising on data protection matters and the preparation of legal agreements for shareholders and partnerships as well as bespoke articles of association.
In another newly created role, Swinburne Maddison has strengthened its marketing team with the appointment of Sara Stammers as marketing executive. Graduating from the University of Sunderland in 2014 with a master’s degree in marketing as well as international marketing experience, Sara brings solid expertise in social media and content marketing to her new position.
With staff development a key objective, the law firm is always open to recruitment if the right person comes along. Commenting on these recent appointments, Victoria Walton, partner with responsibility for real estate, said:
“We are continuing to invest heavily in staff and infrastructure to support our plans going forward and our focus now is to strengthen our position in a competitive market.
“We appointed five new solicitors last year, together with three support staff, followed by Sophie’s appointment. Alongside a further three promotions, we are now gearing up to increase our market share across all service lines following the launch of our new website, brand refresh and advertising campaign which will increase the presence of the Swinburne Maddison brand throughout the region.
“We are dealing with some large projects for regional landowners and developers and regularly receive instructions relating to acquisitions and lettings of commercial units. Despite a challenging environment, we continue to consistently perform and achieve the targets set to continue our growth.”Tagged: News, New Appointments, ExpansionSHARE THIS ARTICLE:
