Swinburne Maddison, one of the North East’s leading full-service law firms, is proud to announce the launch of its rebrand, reflecting the firm’s evolution, values, and ambitions for the future.

Since 2016, Swinburne Maddison has experienced remarkable growth, expanding from a team of 40 to 90, increasing turnover, and strengthening its position as a trusted legal partner for businesses and individuals alike. The rebrand ensures that the firm’s identity and communication are aligned with the modern, forward-thinking practice it is today while remaining firmly rooted in its strong traditions and values

The process began over 12 months ago in collaboration with a strategic marketing agency, which engaged with key individuals across the firm to uncover what truly defines Swinburne Maddison. It was about much more than just changing colours—it was about understanding why our lawyers are in this profession, their drive to support clients, and their passion for helping individuals and businesses navigate complex legal matters. The insights gained from this process united the team and shaped the firm’s new positioning statement: “A contemporary law firm rooted in tradition.”

Traditional values such as integrity, ethics, reliability, and trustworthiness remain at the heart of Swinburne Maddison’s identity. However, the rebrand also highlights the firm’s commitment to innovation, modern legal expertise, and a progressive approach to client service. The partners were keen to ensure that the entire team felt part of this journey, making it more than just a marketing project—it is a platform for continued growth.

At the heart of this rebrand is a new theme: “Reassuring to know.” This encapsulates Swinburne Maddison’s commitment to being there for its clients—providing expert legal support with care, clarity, and confidence.

As part of the rebrand, Swinburne Maddison has worked with talented creative professionals from the North East, supporting local expertise in bringing this vision to life. A key element of this transformation is the complete redevelopment of the firm’s website, launched on 3rd April. The new website has been rewritten in a fresh, engaging style, making it easier for individuals to access the information they need and gain insights to support them through their legal matters.

Photography has been updated to create a stronger connection with clients. The new imagery ensures that when people visit the website or interact with the firm, they see a team that is approachable and professional.

In early May, the firm’s office will undergo a transformation to reflect the new branding, featuring updated signage, graphics, and an enhanced client experience. Additionally, an advertising campaign is set to launch this summer, further reinforcing Swinburne Maddison’s position as a top-tier law firm in the region.

This rebrand is a proud moment for Swinburne Maddison, marking an exciting new chapter in its history while staying true to the firm’s core values. The firm looks forward to continuing to serve its clients with excellence, reliability, and a contemporary approach to law.
