Trainees
Adam Khan is a Trainee Solicitor at Swinburne Maddison having joined the firm in October 2026. He graduated from Cardiff University with a Law degree before completing the Legal Practice Course at Northumbria University, achieving a commendation.
Prior to joining Swinburne Maddison, Adam commenced his training contract at another North East law firm, where he gained valuable legal experience in Wills, Trusts and Probate and Court of Protection matters. Prior to this he completed a placement year during his law degree, where he worked within residential conveyancing and was promoted from Legal Assistant to Paralegal.
Through these roles, Adam developed experience across both contentious and non-contentious legal work, providing him with a strong foundation for his legal career.
Adam is currently supporting the Corporate and Commercial team with legal research, document drafting and client correspondence, whilst continuing to develop his knowledge across a broad range of business and commercial matters.
Prior to commencing his training contract, Adam gained experience advising on private client matters, including drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney, assisting with estate administration, preparing applications to the Court of Protection and supporting lawyers with the management of both contentious and non-contentious matters.
His previous experience has enabled him to develop a strong understanding of client care and the importance of providing practical, clear advice. During his training contract, Adam will continue to gain experience across a range of the firm’s practice areas as he works towards qualification in September 2027.
