Charlie Mace is a Solicitor in Swinburne Maddison’s Dispute Resolution team, advising individuals and businesses on a broad range of contentious matters. Having qualified as a solicitor in July 2026, Charlie brings experience gained through his training contract and previous paralegal role, developing a strong foundation across both commercial and civil disputes.
Charlie studied History at the University of Warwick before pursuing a legal career at Northumbria University, where he completed both the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) and Legal Practice Course (LPC). He began his legal career as a Paralegal in the Dispute Resolution team at a Teesside based firm, before commencing his training contract.
During his training contract, Charlie gained experience across Dispute Resolution, Employment, Corporate and Commercial Property. This provided him with valuable insight into a range of legal and commercial issues affecting both individuals and businesses, enabling him to take a well-rounded and practical approach when advising clients on disputes.
Charlie advises on a wide variety of contentious matters, including housing disrepair claims, consumer rights disputes, commercial disputes, debt recovery matters, boundary disputes and nuisance claims. He enjoys the problem-solving and strategic aspects of dispute resolution and takes pride in helping clients navigate complex issues with clear, practical advice.
Known for his approachable manner and commitment to client service, Charlie focuses on understanding his clients’ objectives from the outset and providing straightforward advice that helps them make informed decisions throughout the course of a dispute.
