Craig Foot is Head of Residential Conveyancing at Swinburne Maddison, where he leads the department with a focus on client care, operational efficiency, and tailored legal service. Joining the firm in 2025, with over 17 years’ experience in residential property law, Craig brings a wealth of practical knowledge and leadership expertise to the firm.
Craig graduated with an LLB (Hons) from Nottingham Trent University in 2007 and began his legal career as a conveyancing assistant. He qualified as a legal executive while working full-time, later completing the Legal Practice Course and qualifying as a solicitor in 2016. His career has included senior roles at a prominent North East law firm, where he progressed to team leader and assistant operations manager.
At Swinburne Maddison, Craig oversees the Residential Conveyancing team, supporting clients with a wide range of property transactions including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, re-mortgages, transfers of equity, auction sales, and new build purchases. Craig has built strong relationships across the region and is particularly experienced in working with property investors, whether individuals or companies, helping them expand and manage their portfolios with confidence.
Craig is known for his practical, client-focused approach and his ability to tailor advice to meet individual needs. He is committed to open communication and proactive support throughout every transaction and trusted for his depth of experience and calm, solution-oriented style.

During his career, Craig progressed from lawyer to team leader and assistant operations manager, combining technical expertise with operational oversight. He qualified as a solicitor while working full-time, demonstrating his dedication to professional development and excellence in practice.
