Craig Foot is Head of Residential Conveyancing and a Senior Managing Associate at Swinburne Maddison. Joining the firm in 2025 with over 17 years’ experience in residential property law, Craig brings a wealth of practical knowledge and leadership expertise. He was promoted to Senior Managing Associate in May 2026.
Craig graduated with an LLB (Hons) from Nottingham Trent University in 2007 and began his legal career as a conveyancing assistant. He qualified as a legal executive while working full-time, before completing the Legal Practice Course and qualifying as a solicitor in 2016. His career includes senior roles at a prominent North East law firm, where he progressed to team leader and assistant operations manager.
At Swinburne Maddison, Craig leads the Residential Conveyancing team, with a strong focus on client care, operational efficiency and delivering a tailored legal service. He advises clients on a full range of residential property matters, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, auction sales and new build transactions.
Craig has built strong relationships across the region and is particularly experienced in working with property investors, whether individuals or companies, supporting them in growing and managing their portfolios with confidence.
Known for his practical and client-focused approach, Craig is committed to open communication and proactive support throughout every transaction. His calm, solution-oriented style and depth of experience make him a trusted advisor to his clients.

During his career, Craig progressed from lawyer to team leader and assistant operations manager, combining technical expertise with operational oversight. He qualified as a solicitor while working full-time, demonstrating his dedication to professional development and excellence in practice.
