Owen Cox is a Solicitor in the Residential Conveyancing team at Swinburne Maddison, having joined the firm in June 2026 following qualification as a Solicitor.
Owen holds a Master’s in Law from Northumbria University Newcastle and completed the Legal Practice Course in 2023. Prior to joining Swinburne Maddison, he worked as a Paralegal, before undertaking his training contract at a law firm in Teesside.
Having spent the majority of his legal career in residential conveyancing, Owen has developed a strong understanding of the property transaction process and the challenges clients face when buying and selling property.
Known for his approachable and down-to-earth manner, Owen prides himself on providing clear, practical advice without unnecessary legal jargon. He understands that property transactions can be stressful and is committed to making the process as straightforward as possible for his clients through proactive communication and responsive service.

Owen advises clients on all aspects of residential conveyancing, assisting individuals, first-time buyers, investors and companies with their property transactions. His work includes acting on freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, new build transactions and guiding clients through the legal process from instruction through to completion.
Throughout his career, Owen has focused on delivering a high standard of client care, ensuring his clients understand each stage of the transaction and feel supported throughout. His friendly and level-headed approach enables him to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
