Laura is a CILEX Advanced Paralegal in our Conveyancing team. Graduating from Durham University in 2012 and undertaking her Graduate Diploma in Law in 2013 at Northumbria University, Laura began her legal career following the CILEX qualification route and underwent her training at a law firm based in Cumbria working within their residential property team and qualifying as a CILEX Legal Executive in 2016.  Laura then moved to an in-house lawyer role at Nuclear Decommissioning Authority within their properties department, dealing with Britain’s Nuclear Legacy and working on projects such as citing and creating a specialist firearms facility for the civil nuclear police.

Laura relocated back to Durham and joined Swinburne Maddison in February 2023. She deals with all manner of conveyancing matters including sales and purchases, transfers and re-mortgages.

In her spare time, Laura enjoys open water swimming, long walks with her Labrador, Honey, and getting together with her local book club.
