Leading North East law firm Swinburne Maddison has advised on the acquisition of Flat Free Tyres Limited, a Teesside based specialist mobility business operating under the Greencare Mobility brand.
The acquisition, completed through newly formed holding company, which acquired the share capital of Flat Free Tyres Limited from Ability Matters Group Limited and saw Katie Fryer and Robert Ferguson, senior managers in the business take ownership, securing the future of the business and providing a platform for continued growth.
The business operates from Riverside Park Industrial Estate in Middlesbrough and serving clients nationally and internationally, Greencare Mobility is a leading provider of configurable, custom-built wheelchairs and specialist seating solutions. The business is recognised for its bespoke approach, creating tailored mobility products designed around the specific needs of each individual client while maintaining a strong commitment to sustainability through recyclable and refurbishable product designs.
Prior to the acquisition, Katie Fryer served as Operations Manager and Robert Ferguson as Engineering and Quality Manager within the business and now assume director roles. Their extensive knowledge of the company, its people and its customers places them in a strong position to lead its next chapter.
Swinburne Maddison advised on all legal aspects of the transaction, including the establishment of the holding company and the preparation and negotiation of the acquisition documentation. The transaction was supported by FW Capital, acting as regional fund manager for TFIF LP.
