Phoebe Gogarty

Phoebe is a Solicitor in our Dispute Resolution team and specialises in Employment Law. Phoebe joined the firm in March 2023, prior to which she trained and practised at notable Yorkshire and Newcastle-based firms.
Phoebe provides advice in all areas of Employment Law, covering a full range of contentious and non-contentious matters.
On the non-contentious side, Phoebe regularly advises on:
- contracts, handbooks, HR policies and procedures,
- settlement agreements for employers and employees,
- redundancy, restructuring and TUPE guidance,
- general day-to-day HR queries, such as how to deal with changes to employment terms, grievances, disciplinary matters, sickness absence, and pay queries amongst many others.
In cases where matters become contentious, Phoebe has experience representing both employers and employees in both mediation and tribunal cases. Acting for both Claimants and Respondents in the tribunal, Phoebe has worked on a range of cases, including:
- unfair and constructive dismissal claims, including employment status challenges,
- wrongful dismissal claims,
- cases which concern disability, age, race, religion, sex and sexual orientation discrimination including harassment and victimisation,
- whistleblowing cases, and
- breach of contract matters, concerning both express and implied terms.
Outside work Phoebe enjoys reading, getting away on holidays, and spending time with family and friends.
